Bajrang Dal has no Conflict with Ramakrishna Mission, Clarifies VHP.

The South-eastern top leadership of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) made it very clear to the journalists on 26th December that it does not have any problem Ramakrishna Mission’s decision to worship Jesus Christ during Christmas. Ramakrishna Mission is the epitome of worship for the entire Hindu community and thus there is no question of any conflict here, added Bajrang Dal and VHP.

Bajrang Dal, which is directly controlled by the VHP, recently appealed to the entire Hindu community to boycott the Church and the Christmas festival because of the attack on Ramakrishna Mission by the Khasis in Shillong. But what happened next, was against their appeal. In Ramakrishna Mission itself, Jesus was being worshipped. Speculations were being made that Bajrang Dal was planning to boycott the Jesus worship in Hailakandi’s Ramakrishna Mission. This spurred a little debate among the masses. But then all these claims were busted by the VHP’s south-eastern President Shantanu Naik. He explicitly made it clear that the Bajrangis neither have any dispute with the Mission nor have they objected the worship of Jesus there. They just asked if the worship of Jesus in the Mission was in accordance with the traditional Hindu religious undertakings. “Jesus worship was performed even during the time of Swami Vivekananda”, said the priests of the mission responding to the query of the Bajrangis.

Shantanu Naik further added that the fight of the Bajrang Dal was against the oppression and torture of Hindus, primarily in Meghalaya and some other parts of Northeast India. Posters titled “All Bengalis are Bangladeshis” in the walls of Shillong, the locking of Ramkrishna Mission in Shillong by the Khasi Student’s Union (KSU) might have been conspired by the Churches. This is what Bajrang Dal believes, Naik said. Because of this, the Bajrang Dal appealed to the Hindus to boycott the Church during Christmas. At a time when the Bajrang Dal had appealed to the Hindus to boycott Christmas, the Mission’s decision to conduct the worship of Jesus came as a surprise. But the Bajrang Dal did not oppose the worship of Jesus, clarified Naik.

Meanwhile, the ‘Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Nidhi Samarpan Abhiyan Samiti’, is collecting funds for the construction of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya from two thousand villages across Barak and Dima Hasao. This committee, which will be headed by the VHP, aims to collect Rs. 2,00,00,000/- approximately from the villages. To reach their goal, VHP will form their committee from the grassroots and begin their campaign from 15th January, 2021.

In the press conference held in Silchar’s Ashram Road’s Gobinda Bari, Nidhi Samarpan Abhiyan Samiti’s President Uday Shankar Goswami and VHP’s south-eastern wing’s General Secretary Swapan Suklabaidya said that around 4,65,000 people of the 2000 villages will be approached by the Samiti. Because of elections, even if the nationwide fund collection is delayed by 1.5 months, it will be completed by 31st January in Assam. Be it cities, towns or tea gardens, funds will be collected from everywhere. Because of this, the process of committee formation in Gram Panchayats and Municipalities has already began, they informed.
