Recently, 246 Michigan residents who were completely vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus tested positive for the virus. According to a news report, of the 246 people, three died.
Speaking with Detroit News, a health official informed that the group tested positive for COVID-19 around two weeks after receiving the last vaccine dose.
Following the incident, in an email on Monday, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Health and Human Services, Lynn Sutfin said, “Some of these individuals may ultimately be excluded from this list due to continuing to test positive from a recent infection prior to being fully vaccinated.”
The three people who died were all 65 years old or older and two “were within three weeks of completion of vaccination,” she added.
